| Recipe by Bake with Paws
Nian Gao, also known as Chinese New Year cake, is a traditional Chinese dessert made from glutinous rice flour. It is typically sweet and can be flavored with ingredients like red bean paste or dates. Nian Gao is especially popular during the Lunar New Year as its name sounds like "higher year," symbolizing progress, growth, and prosperity in the coming year. The cake can be steamed, fried, or used in various savory dishes.
We decided to end the Chinese New Year celebration with something sweet!
