Roti Jala is a traditional Malaysian and Indonesian crepe-like dish. It is made from a batter of flour, eggs, coconut milk, and turmeric, which gives it a distinctive yellow color. The batter is poured through a special mold to create a lacy, net-like pattern. Roti Jala is typically served with curry, making it a popular accompaniment for both sweet and savory dishes.

I bought a Roti Jala bottle several years ago and totally forgot about it.  Making Roti Jala (Net Pancakes) for lunch is perfect as comfort food for this lockdown period.  My first attempt turned out very soft and it went really well with my Nyonya Curry Chicken.  The Nyonya Curry Chicken Recipe is available here.  The Roti Jala recipe is adapted from Seasaltwithfood with slight modifications.

If you do not have this Roti Jala bottle, you can use an empty mineral water bottle with a few holes on the cover/cap that be made with a nail.
